The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, is an amazing show put on by Mother Nature and only visible on the edges of the world. Our three-hour Aurora Hunt is called a "Hunt" for a reason as we will truly be hunting for the best spots to enjoy and photograph this unique light show with professional camera. As The Auroras, Northern lights, are something that nature creates there is no one place where you can be sure to see them - sometimes you really need to hunt them.

Over the years, we have encountered several challenges:

  • Weather in Lapland can change rapidly — from bad to good or the opposite — even just hours before the tour.

  • Moving large groups from one date to another becomes extremely complicated and stressful for both our team and our guests.

  • While we sometimes cancel tours because of poor forecasts, weather can surprise us and auroras may still appear unexpectedly.

  • Guests understandably feel disappointed when they don’t see auroras and must still pay the full tour price.

To address these issues, we are introducing a unique approach — something no other company in Lapland currently offers:

  • If, during the Aurora Hunting tour, auroras are not seen with your own eyes (not just on camera), you will receive a 100% refund.

Please, note, that:

  • We no longer move bookings to different dates in search of better weather.

  • We run every tour, every day, regardless of the forecast.

 

WHat is aurora hunting about? 

We use our comfortable minivans that seat 6-8 people or a 20- seater minibus to hunt the Auroras - the Northern lights - so that we have the possibility to go as far as needed to find the Auroras. We cannot guarantee that you will see the Northern lights, but what we can guarantee is that we will do everything in our power to find them for you. 

What does in include?

Our Aurora Hunt is organized for small groups to assure the quality of the service for our guests. All our guides are professional "Aurora Hunters" and can answer all your questions about Auroras, Finland and the culture. The Hunt is always customized by the guide according to weather and the Aurora forecast, but it always includes the transportation, english speaking guide, warm drinks and some snacks. 

Who is it for?

Anyone and everyone who would like to enjoy the beauty of the Northern lights dancing on the night sky. This activity has no age or health restrictions and is suitable for the whole family. You can join the activity alone or with your group. In case there are small children joining the hunt, there is a possibility to arrange for an earlier departure or a customized programme. HOW TO BE PREPARED?

  • Warm and comfortable clothing is recommended for the bus ride, we can also give you warm overalls/boots/gloves free of charge if you inform us in advance
